In this talk, author and Functional Medicine physician Dr. Terry Wahls, will review the connection between the microbiomes in our mouth and our gut and how that is linked to our immune cells and our brain! The research is exploding and uncovering how the bacteria in our mouth, on our teeth, and in our bowels can influence our moods, our behaviors, and the development of atherosclerosis, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, and even the risk of dementia! Join us to learn about the latest connections between our microbiome and our health, and learn how to nurture your gut microbes for optimal health.

Participants will receive a coupon to help get them started with items suggested by Dr Wahls. The presentation is sponsored by Dr. Terry Wahls, New Pioneer Food Co-op, and the Coralville Public Library.

This talk will also be offered on June 8th at new Pioneer Co-op. Tickets to the Cedar Rapids event are $15 and pre-registration is encouraged.  This event at the Coralville Library is sponsored by the Coralville Library and it is FREE.
